Lev Micolovic

House Crenaoluja
Kin of the Shadow Lords
Supplier of the Fangs of Shale

Description

~Lev appears to be a mature gentleman in his late 30s. He clearly enjoys designer labels, preferring the boldest and most avant-garde suits on the market. All the same, Lev comes across as casual and relaxed. Smiles do come naturally to his lips, though do little to brighten his scarred features. That's perhaps why he prefers to wear a short-trimmed beard and goatee, to better mask those features. Lev may not be handsome, but at least he has tall and dark down. The level, brown-eyed gaze of the man conveys a secret cruelty, as if he lives on the other side of the city. The fearless and proud heft of his chin and cool attitude suggests he's more than just a well-dressed fellow. Lev's the man to talk to...or widely avoid.~

History

Youth

Lev Micolovic grew up in Sarajevo, in what became Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Micolovic's were a fairly well off family and quite aware of their Kin relations to the Shadow Lord Tribe of Garou. Indeed, they were proud of their heritage. Lev and his younger brother, Rurik, were raised with that pride in a tense world full of racial pride and hatreds...between human and Garou communities alike.

Lev's father supplied both the Communist government and his Garou people with munitions. He was an industrialist who built arms, the manager of Zvijezda Systems and the closest thing to private owner that Communism allowed. Unfortunately, his industry changed hands...violently. What supernatural powers were behind the scene? Lev never found out. But his father was murdered when he and Rurik were both just teenagers.

Revenge

So Lev and Rurik abandoned the public education system and left their broken family behind. Their mother returned to her home, a miserable widow. Her sons meanwhile appealed to their true and ancient family, the Garou, for help against this outrage. They had to reacquire their birthright and reclaim the industry. The Shadow Lords agreed, backing Lev and Rurik and supplying them with other displaced youths. Their bloody gang became a blot on the Communist's ruling control. They were both feared and despised...and respected in certain circles, too.

A much more hostile takeover enabled Lev to wrest control of Zvijezda Systems. For only a short time was Lev able to continue production as his father once had, however. With his thugs and criminal reputation, he could not keep the business legitimate. Lev abandoned his birthright, stripping it of all current ordinance for seed money, and then blew the industrial complex up. If he couldn't manage it, nobody could.

The Zvijezda Gang

With the remaining cache of arms, Lev went into the illegal arms trade. His Tribe helped him dodge the secret police. Even better, he was able to score contacts among disenfranchised or desperate KGB agents. He supplied emergency arms to those operatives as needed and remained a criminal at large in Sarajevo for years. Lev actually acquainted Yurii Mirosky this way, and helped the Silver Fang Kin with some weapons needs once.

Despite managing to avoid the police, Lev's life was far from peaceful. He was almost constantly engaged in gang warfare. Other arms dealers competed with his Zvijezda Gang for control of the illegal market. The fighting was intense and brutal. And Lev sometimes caught glimpses of what was going on behind the scenes. It seemed his Shadow Lord Tribe was clashing with Brujah vampires over the underworld influence.

Sadly, in one of those vicious and bloody clashes, Lev lost his brother. Rurik was shot dead. Lev's resulting fury won the battle, but the loss could not be salvaged. Lev blamed himself for Rurik's death. He could have taken better care of the younger man. He could have made sure Rurik stayed out of the fighting, or even persuaded him to find another lifestyle. But he didn't and now Rurik was dead. So Lev, ridden with this guilt, turned to a readily available source of comfort: heroin.

A New Era

To make matters more complicated, the Berlin Wall fell. The reign of Communism was over in Russia and Eastern Europe. A tumultuous period of revolution was soon to come, a time an arms dealer could easily take advantage of. Unfortunately, the Russian Mafia had the same idea. He could not compete with such a well-established and powerful organization. The market became too thick, too congested with dangerous competition.

So Lev up and relocated. He took several willing associates of the Zvijezda Gang and moved to the USA. He went straight to Kansas City, Missouri, of all places. And why not? His Tribe was waging an underdog campaign to take control of the local Sept. His old KGB friend Yurii Mirosky was here, too. With contacts and opportunities galore, Lev Micolovic weaseled into the underworld and established his place here.

Significant Other

Lev just picked Amberly Palmer up at his favorite club, the Jack of Spades. The college girl was actually a werewolf. They soon reveled in their shared heritage in both human and bestial sides. For now, they're just a good time for each other. Lev isn't sure he's ready to commit and Amber is not happy with his drug use whatsoever…

Amberly

Weakness
Twisted Will

Lev could be strong. He could be one of the strongest Kinfolk to ever arise from his Tribe. Unfortunately, his confidence is built on a fragile foundation. Guilt, hate, and a general lack of morality weaken his personal power base. He must do a lot of soul-searching and heart-warming before he'll be truly strong.

Likelihood of Corruption

High.

Lev operates in the heart of the criminal underworld. There are many wicked forces waiting to destroy anyone who lingers in this life. And his Tribe's compassion is very low indeed.
